How do I manually change the status of a message or sender?

While on the messages tab, right-click with your mouse to show a pop-up menu. There are options to set the status of the sender's address, the sender's domain, and the messages. You may also press and hold the CTRL key and click multiple messages to change the status of more than one message/sender at a time.

Can I import a list of authorized senders?

MouseTrap has a wizard for importing names and addresses of authorized senders on the settings tab.
